Edwardian Home Interior Design

THE BRIEF

To add partition walls in the hallway providing a sound barrier from the basement. Decoration of the hall, stairs and landing, plus a ‘back to brick’ renovation of the bathroom.

A reclaimed antique desk became the star of the show in this monochrome bathroom. We adapted the wooden desk to create a stylish vanity unit by adding a marble counter top, twin sinks and leather handles. A freestanding clawfoot bath with period-style hardware was set against a backdrop of classic white metro tiles to create a timeless, elegant feel. The whole look was softened with pot plants and trailing greenery.

The black and white colour palette was continued through the hall, stairs and landing to highlight retained Edwardian features. We introduced pops of colour in the hallway floor tiles and mustard stair runner, to add warmth and vibrancy to the space.

"Danielle did an amazing job. I'm so pleased with her work. The attention to detail really shows in the finished product. I would highly recommend her and will be using her more often in the future."
